The white dress worn by the Duchess of Sussex and the Military Uniform worn by the Duke, Prince Harry are to be displayed in the Castle this coming winter.
From 26 October 2018 through to early January 2019 visitors to Windsor will have the added attraction of the royal wedding costumes on display.
Harry wore his uniform of the Household Cavalry (Blues and Royals) and this as well as the brides dress, will be on display at no extra cost to visitors buying a standard entry ticket to the castle.
It is of course Meghan’s silk dress with three-quarter-length sleeves that will draw the biggest reaction from visitors. The dress was designed by Clare Waight Keller, artistic director of the Givenchy fashion house. With its five metre long veil with hand-embroidered flowers on its hem this really is a lovely dress and the chance to see it up close again will be doubtless taken up by lots of people in what is usually considered the ‘quiet period’ for Windsor visitors. Her majesty has also allowed the Queen Mary Lozenge Bandeau Tiara that Meghan wore to be displayed as part of the exhibition.
